Will my mat lie flat?
It ships rolled in a protective tube. Unroll it, lay it flat and leave your keyboard and a couple of books on it overnight. It lies flat within a day. Our care guide covers the stubborn cases.
Which size should I get?
The 12" x 22" fits a compact keyboard and a mouse. The 16" x 32" fits a full-size keyboard, a mouse and a notebook. Our size guide has the measurements and how to check your desk.
Can I use a mouse on it?
Yes. The top is a smooth 100% polyester weave, so optical and laser mice track cleanly across the whole surface. No separate mouse pad needed.
Will it slide around?
No. The base is natural rubber with an anti-slip grip, and at 0.12" (3 mm) thick the mat has enough weight to stay put while you type.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the top with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, then let it air dry flat. Do not put it in the washing machine or the dryer - the print and the rubber base are bonded, and heat will ruin both. We have a fuller guide to cleaning a desk mat, including coffee, ink and grease.
How long does an order take?
Each mat is printed after you order it. Printing takes 2 to 5 business days, delivery another 3 to 7, so most orders arrive within 5 to 12 business days. You get a tracking link as soon as it ships.
Where do you ship?
The United States only for now, including Alaska, Hawaii and APO/FPO addresses. Shipping is $4.95, and free on any order of $39.95 or more - which covers every 16" x 32" mat on its own.
Is there a discount for buying two?
Yes. Add any two mats and 10% comes off the order automatically at checkout - no code needed. Two mats also clear the free shipping threshold on their own.
Will the colours match what I see on screen?
Close, but screens vary. We keep our print files calibrated, so expect true-to-photo colour within normal screen variance. Deep navies and blacks print slightly richer than they look on a bright monitor.
What if it arrives damaged or wrong?
Email hello@nookgrain.com within 30 days with your order number and a photo. We reprint it free or refund you in full, and you do not ship anything back.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Because each mat is printed for you, we cannot accept change-of-mind returns or wrong-size returns. Check the size guide before ordering. You can cancel within 12 hours of ordering for a full refund, as long as printing has not started.
Who makes these?
The artwork is ours, drawn in house. The printing is done to order in the United States by our print partner, so there is no warehouse of stock sitting in plastic. More about us.
