Nookgrain started with a simple complaint: the desk you sit at every day is the one surface in your home nobody designs for. Most desk mats are black rectangles with someone else's logo stamped in the corner.
So we draw our own. Topographic contour lines, layered coastlines, moon phases, desert mesas, mid-century shapes - original designs, each drawn to be looked at for eight hours without getting loud about it. Nothing is licensed and nothing is a stock pattern.
Printed when you order it
Every mat is printed to order in the United States by our print partner, then shipped straight to you. There is no warehouse full of mats we have to sell through, which means we can draw a design for a hundred people rather than a hundred thousand, and nothing ends up in landfill because it did not move.
The trade-off is honest: your mat takes 5 to 12 business days to reach you instead of arriving tomorrow. We think it is worth it.
What you are buying
A 0.12" (3 mm) mat with a smooth polyester top that a mouse tracks cleanly across, an anti-slip natural rubber base, and hemmed, stitched edges that do not fray. Two sizes: 12" x 22" and 16" x 32".
If we get it wrong
Send a photo within 30 days and we reprint it free or refund you in full. You keep the mat. We would rather fix it than argue about it.
